Orange Tip Butterflies in Meadow

The Orange Tip Butterfly (Anthocharis cardamines) is one of Britain's most common butterfly species. It is seen throughout the UK in gardens, meadows and hedgerows. The male of the species are distinctive with bright orange tips on their wings whilst the females have black tips. Their underwings are a beautiful green in a mottled pattern. This print depicts both the male and female of the species in their meadow habitat.
